Winter Surfing
Yet another benefit of living in southern california...
10-15' waves and tempertures in the mid 80's. We may be lucky to get below 80 degrees for daytime highs for xmas.

Re: Winter Surfing
It's pretty hot in Florida too, except for tommorow. Cold fronts suck

Re: Winter Surfing
Just seen the weather for the week and still looks like we are going to be in the mid to high 80s but xmas day "may" be about 78.

Re: Winter Surfing
I'm actually hoping for lower temps. We had snow on Monday, but the temp keeps rising and I doubt we will see any more for Christmas. One can always hope, though.

Re: Winter Surfing
Winter surfing is snowboard..and thats it... I just became 24, and that means that I have done cross-contry for 20 years...and snowboarding for 9. And I was soooooo looking forward to be able to use the Alps here in Switzerland, France Italy to the MAX with my snowboard this year...then this **** of an American tears off two ligements in my leg making me unable to go snowboaring for a year...life can't be more unfair...I am only going to be here a year...it is only this chance...the Alps can bee seen from my window...Mt. blanc (Europes highest mountain) is just outside my bedroom window...and I can't go ride it.. ....I am sooo unhappy...give me a hugg...anyboddy..please...

Re: Winter Surfing
[color=navy]We had record high swells today of 20' from a Hawian storm. It forced the closure of several piers and damaged one.
Grab your board NoteMe and hit these waves as surfing should be easier on your leg then snow boarding.

Re: Winter Surfing
We can still surf in the UK in winter but a dry suit is needed, as for the swells, none required when your kite boarding!

That's no benefit. That's just a lack of something else.

Re: Winter Surfing
The lack of not having freezing snow or blizard conditions. But you can get those too if you go up to the mountains. Only ~ an hour drive from most of LA.
