VBA Question
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but maybe somebody can help.
I need to write VBA code to create and then resize a chart in Excel. Using the built in macro-recorder I was able to get this code for creating the chart:
Charts.Add
ActiveChart.ChartType = xlXYScatterSmoothNoMarkers
etc... editing changing other properties of the chart.
Then I tried to resize the chart and got this macro:
ActiveSheet.Shapes("Chart 26").ScaleWidth 1.5, msoFalse, _
msoScaleFromBottomRight
The problem is that excel automatically named the chart "Chart 26" If i delete it and make another one it will be "Chart 27".
The question is: How can I assign a name to a chart, or at least find out the name that was assigned to a chart when I created it?
Thank you,
Boris.
