drivers for my notebook

i buy 1 notebook: HP Compact Presario CQ60-155EP. but the problem is that it have the Windows Vista. is why that i need the Windows XP drivers for these notebook. i have trying find it, but without sucess
can anyone help me or advice me?

Hey,

I am a little confused by what you have said here?

Normally for each piece of hardware, manufacturers will supply both Vista and XP Drivers. You shouldn't need to use XP Drivers on your notebook at all, as normally there will be Vista ones. It might be the case that there are no Vista Drivers though.

Did you buy the notebook new? If so, it should have shipped with all the drivers that you need.

I think the OP's laptop comes with Vista pre-installed, and he wants to reformat the HHD to install XP. However, he's having problem getting the drivers for XP...
Joaquim: did you check at the manufacturer's web site? If they don't have XP drivers for your particular laptop model, do they have drivers for windows server 2003? If they do, you can try that since most drivers for win server 2003 will work on XP and vice versa.

i don't have any CD's only the recover disc in my HDD.
i try fincd my drivers but i only catch these drivers:

and the OS is for Vista and Vista 64 bits, 2000 and XP... nothing more.
and they are only 3 files(some drivers and the update file).
but i need more drivers(i never install the XP in these notebook) and software(like batery and others).
can i find them with Driver Genius or with another driver program?

1) what OS came with the laptop
2) what OS do you want on the laptop
3) which OS is currently installed on the laptop.

im pretty sure the entire cq6 series only comes with vista preinstalled ( atleast at the consumer level) so there wont be any xp drivers (all the computer that are from hp or compaq that are vista pre install most of the time dont have xp drivers) only thing you can do is try to find the drivers from the manufacture of the hardware for example for a broadcom wifi card go to broadcom's site or try to google the hardware id and see if you can find the xp driver

ok.. i found the keyboard and the mouse dirvers for XP.
but did you mean that i must found them manualy?
perhaps i can find for sound and the graphic card, but the others came with XP?
and the batery program(and maybe others)?
