[2005] get email address from ad without username or password...
Hello Everyone,
Im just curious, I have found some code, that will connect to Active Directory, and get the 'mail' property of a certain user (to get there email address), however the code requires a username/password which i am assuming must be a domain admin, is this correct?
Is there any way possible to get the email address from ad of the current user only. ie, just need to populate a property for the user currently browsing the page, and would only need access to there info?
Any help would be fantastic.
Cheers!

is this a local intRAnet site authenticating users with windows auth???
I don't understand what a users ad is or how an ad would have a user if it's being browsed?

Yes, it is in a intranet environment with windows auth.
Also, sorry for the mix up. ad = active directory
