School does begin in a week. But my classes (well, half of them) are cool: TV Production, Intern/Mentorship (I get to leave school at 12:30!) and Java.

You only have to take PE for a year? No wonder America has something of a problem with corpulence.

FBP - is your name just to throw us off the scent, or are there shades of pots and kettles here?

Anyway, I thought that calling them a nation of bloaters might have been a tad offensive.

I can't believe that throughout North America, schoolchildren only have to take PE for a year.

From the age of 4 to the age of 18, every single bloody week. We had to go outside, rain or shine, nothing but a pair of baggy shorts and tattered vest to protect us from the howling elements, with a psychopathic PE teacher shouting obscenities at us from within the comfort of a massively padded track-suit.

Unless we had a note from Mum, of course.

By the wink, I assume "mom" was a "legitimate, non-forged" signature.

    Oh, absolutely.

After all, why on earth would I want to get out of it? Character-building, it was. Made me the man I am today.
