    Do you have 64-bit Excel?

If so then please help me test this.

The attached, very simple, workbook has a timer that's started in Workbook_Open and when the timer is fired it should display a message. It works in 32-bit Excel 2010, but someone I work with says it doesn't in 64-bit 365 Pro plus.

Please go to Workbook_Open, change the time to a couple of minutes from now, close and reopen the workbook.

    Is the message generated?

It worked on Excel 2010 32 bit and Office 365 Excel 64 bit.
