Resolved [RESOLVED] Classic Shell in Win 10

    Just upgraded Win7 to Win10.
First time I've played with Win10.
Like most, prefer the old Classic Shell as have used it forever.
Went to the Classic Shell site (http://classicshell.net/) and saw had quit updating Classic Shell in 2017 (as always I'm behind the times) as Win10 Upgrades keep breaking the Shell.
Prior to my loading the last stable Classic Shell version 4.3.1, anyone know:
    1) if Classic Shell is still usable with latest version of Win10 without a lot of problems (hickups)?
    2) An alternative to Classic Shell for Windows 10?
    4) Anyway to tweak the Win10 Shell to get it back to classic?

Obviously not most, probably not even many. Because there isn't enough demand to keep making Windows look like the first release of Windows 95 any more.

Ok, I know that's not helpful but hyperbole will not rescue you. I like stability too, but some battles aren't worth fighting. For me this is one of them.

Good luck, maybe somebody else has something for you. But I'll start another thread with a tip about another new issue more important to me.

    dilettante:

Figured I'd probably have to live with the Win10 shell but "No Harm in asking for a solution" IMHO.
One thing I have found is that it appears only 1 shortcut to the same file can be pinned to the start menu at a time.
Under Window 7 had a shortcut to the same file in several different directories.
Win10 does NOT appear to allow this.
My guess has something to do with pinning.

There are many tips and tricks out there to make Win 10 look OLD...

Right Click on the START button and select RUN

Type-> control panel to see the good/old fashioned control panel.

Might also check out the Ultimate Windows Tweaker v4.

Saw the GitHub link at Classic Shell but haven't had a chance to pursue it yet.
