    Compiler switches

    Does anyone know if using the ini c2switches setting there is a way to get C2 to adopt aggressive in lining during the compile? I have researched this quite a lot and I know it can be done with c++

    thanks

    Re: Compiler switches

    Are you talking about the /Ob switch?

    Code:
    [VBCompiler]
    C2Switches=/Ob2
    I tried specifying that option but VB6's C2.EXE threw "fatal error C1007: unrecognized flag '/Ob2' in 'p2'"

    If you show your code to us (if it is confidential, write something similar), we might be able to suggest more efficient algorithms or API functions than what you came up with.

    If VB6 had an Inline keyword, then making one strategy to fit all situations would not work. See this C++ FAQ, which applies to any language in general:

    Do inline functions improve performance?
