    Latest Windows 7 update

Since the latest Windows 7 update, I have suddenly lost library references.
The two cases so far are the DAO 3.6 library and the second is that it does not accept 'as TreeView' as an object or reference anymore.
It does not give the DAO 3.6 as a missing item in the references.
It may be co-incidental to some other problem - I do not know.
Does anybody else here have the same type of problems?

    Thanks
    PK

The TreeView is part of MSCOMCTL.OCX
Is the file in the System-Directory? Have you tried re-registering it?
One System to rule them all, One IDE to find them,
One Code to bring them all, and to the Framework bind them,

hackers will surely be focusing on windows 10 anyway.
so sure, support its ending, but hacking attempt will also get lower and lower.
i dont think anyone is trying to hack someone in windows 98 or windows xp.

Actually Windows XP is a prime target of hackers, particularly for installing spambots.

    https://www.technologyreview.com/s/5...among-hackers/

Quite a fraction of XP machines have been zombied.

Windows 7 is now the second biggest target because it contains well known vulnerabilities and a lot of the contrarians who cling to it also fear updates and have them turned off.

By staying on an old OS you are danger to others as well as yourself. Time to change that dirty diaper.

That's probably because the system in question *is* "already hacked"...

It is also why you have a NAT router and a firewall. Windows 10 has plenty of security holes in it. The only difference is we don't yet know where all of those holes are. The hackers just might though.
