    UDS communication with C

    Hi guys!

I am trying to create a software and hardware which will communicate with a TCU (ECU) in the car.

Currently I know that the software from the computer connects through USB to a hardware adapter, which connects it to the CAN. I have the CAN IDs and some idea about the CAN format. But for some reason when I send DATA over the USB it returns "0x36 0x46 0x31 0x20 0x31 0x38 0x20 0x30 0x32 0x20 0x31 0x30 0x20 0x30 0x31 0x20 0x46 0x46 0x20 0x46 0x46 0x20 0x46 0x46 0x20 0x46 0x46". I have connected a vector hardware "VN1610", when I use "Vector CANoe" it works, but with my custom software it does not. Can anyone please hlpe me with this?

I think it has something to do with the "vector hardware configuration tool". I can assign all other things to it, but not my custom software.
You can see the "vector hardware configuration tool" here.
