If the item with a known key is in treeview?

    Hi,

I have a key value (string) of an item in my hand but I am not sure if this item is already added in treeview.

So, how can I check if it is already added.

I don't want to make loop to check all items in treeview because it takes time as the data is too big in treeview.

I don't want to use error trapping methods (like "on error goto xxxx") as it slows down the code.

    Do you have an idea?

    Thanks in advance

The Common Control TreeView doesn't have keys or a lookup collection. That's add-on functionality provided in the OCX.

I suppose you could ignore it and maintain your own mapping between key and index values in parallel. Lots of extra work, easy to screw up, and probably little to be gained though.
