Resolved [RESOLVED] Another VB6 question for win 10

I previously had a lot of help in how to install VB6 on WIN 10. Now I need info on what I need to put on a WIN 10 OS so I can execute VB6 programs created on another computer.

    Thanks

Nothing, unless you're using some ActiveX OCX and/or DLL files. And, in that case, you'll have to register those ActiveX components, which a good installer typically does for you. If you're not using any ActiveX OCX and/or DLL files, a VB6 compiled program is fully portable with respect to Windows 10.

EDIT1: Well, I guess that also assumes you're not using any "third-party standard DLL files". If you are using those, you'll have to carry those with you, but they shouldn't need to be registered.

Please understand that I’ve been programming since the mid-1970s and still have some of that code. My contemporary VB6 project is approaching 1,000 modules. In addition, I have a “VB6 random code folder” that is overflowing. I’ve been at this long enough to truly not know with absolute certainty from whence every single line of my code has come, with much of it coming from programmers under my employ who signed intellectual property transfers.
