If you're on a Windows based system, click Start, and in the search box on the bottom of the Start menu enter CMD, then select cmd.exe to get the Command Prompt window.

Within the command prompt window type "ipconfig" and hit enter.

Your Router's IP address is next to Default Gateway.

For the IP address that connects to the internet through your local internet service provider (ISP), like AT&T, Verizon, ect... You can see the current IP your ISP assigned you automatically from sites like whatismyip.com or ipchicken.com, just by visiting them.

On whatismyip.com, your IP address is next to IPv4 or IPv6.

Most routers contain a small web server to support configuration. Just go there and look at the Status or WAN page.
