    Php problems .user.ini

My web hosting provides a file manager for easy ftp. I’ve noticed a problem today when trying to upload a 4.3 MB zip file. This is not what the question is about, just some background info. I am able to upload the file through an alternative ftp method.
After i finally managed to upload the file, i can’t download it via my php downloader, which uses readfile. I’ve been told to add a .user.ini file to my webroot folder, but i can’t find an example of the exact format required. I want to set max file size and max time limit and a few other settings.
Can someone tell me the sections i need to use and explain the format. It’s been a while since i created an .ini file... Thanks

Google searched for .user.ini, one of the first results (there look to be many other very relevant results):

Thanks. I’d already seen the first linked page, but the second looks more useful. It’s not the settings i’m asking about, more the section names and settings that belong in each section
