    Re: vbSendmail Persistent Properties

    as vbsendmail has full source code you should be able find that information easily enough in the code

    a quick look through the class shows settings are saved to the registry using savesetting
    i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
    Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next

    dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part

    come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed

    Re: vbSendmail Persistent Properties

    You have
    Code:
        pbPersistentSettings = CLng(RegGet("PersistentSettings", "0"))
        If pbPersistentSettings Then
            ' load defaults from the registry
            utMail.sFromAddr = RegGet("From", "")
            utMail.sFromDisplayName = RegGet("FromDisplayName", "")
            psPop3Host = RegGet("Pop3Host", "")
            psSMTPHost = RegGet("RemoteHost", "")
        ...
    and
    Code:
        RegGet = GetSetting(REG_KEY, SETTINGS_KEY, sSettingName, sDefaultValue)
    finally
    Code:
    Private Const REG_KEY = "vbSendMail" ' registry key
    Private Const SETTINGS_KEY = "Settings" ' registry sub key
    Note that the project's latest version in from 2003 and it uses a hidden form with a WinSock control which it has to fight to emulate synchronous requests.

    cheers,
    </wqw>
