    Modern Help-System

What is the best way to offer a modern looking help in VB6-Applikations ? Right now I am using Helpscribble but the HTML-Help looks a little bit oldfashioned nowadays. Any suggestions ?

Do you have samples of what is considered modern looking help?

Not really. That is the reason I have asked. I spent my VB6 application a very modern look and no one suspects the old VB6 behind it, but unfortunately my help-system looks like the days of Window XP. I do not want to link to a online helpsite and was wondering if there are better opportunities. Maybe one can use PDF-Files e.g. for a build-in help-system !?

A modern UI (following the Office 2016 guidelines) is Excel
The help in VBA for Excel is just a redirect to an URL on the Microsoft website:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/nl-nl/off...6)%26rd%3Dtrue
    The direct url:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/off...long-data-type

The "normal" help seems to be a basic webbrowser which collects it's information from a website/webservice

Well what about something like http://treepad.com/ ?

It has a freeware read-only viewer and an e-book format that might be usable.

If there is not on-topic help, I vote for a PDF file.
If it needs to send the user to specific topics, then not, local web pages I think.
