Resolved [RESOLVED] Crystal report connection with Windows 10

Hi, I have a big issue with crystal report and I need your help.

I encoded a application which use crystal report at the end to save a PDF file but on windows 10, I can't connect the client PC to the database, the database name is missing.

I had the same problem on windows 7, but I resolved it, it was just an access problem to a folder, so now, it work perfectly fine on 7 but not at all on 10 !

I already tried a lot a things, but I hope I missed something.

    Today :
    - I checked the access, it's OK
    - I change a folder name in aspnet_client, not working

    If you have any idea...

    The error is :
    Name: Error CR.PNG

Size: 8.9 KB

    Bonjour.
If I read correctly, you seem to connect to the server but you are not specifying the database name ("Base de donees")
    Slow as hell.

Re: Crystal report connection with Windows 10

    Bonjour,

This is the problem, I specify it in my code, but (and I don't know why) it doesn't appear on that window.

The thing is, if it was working well (like on windows 7) this window will not shows up, it will just be the crystal report.

I put my code here so you can take a look if you want :
    VB.NET Code:
    1. cryRpt.Load(MET_Path & "\CrystalReport1.rpt")
    2.
    3.         With crConnectionInfo
    4.             .ServerName = "SERVERNAME"
    5.             .DatabaseName = "DATABASENAME"
    6.             .UserID = "USER"
    7.             .Password = "PASSWORD"
    8.         End With

Merci, thank you for your quick reply! ( If you have any other idea, I will take it ^^)

    Hi.
    Yes another idea.
If you go to the preview window, it will ask for your credentials.
If you put your credentials there will it show sample data?
    Slow as hell.

I can't do it! The database name is locked, I can't click on the Textbox to write something in it. Sadly.
    Thank you for your answer!

    Right.
So when you try to connect from the code. Are you using a try catch?
If so, what is the result that you get? Do you get an error?
    Thanks.
    Slow as hell.

Sadly, I don't get any error with a try...catch, I just have the previous window and when I click on Finish ("Terminer") I have the following error : "Failed connection. Try again."

    Hi,

    AMAZING !

I succeed to load the report on the windows 10 client PC.

All of it just for a F****** compatibility problem, the right version (for win 10) of the SQL Native Client was missing !
I install it and now, I have any problem to load my report!

Thank you for your time sapator, have a great day
