    adExecuteNoRecords....

    When i use ADO, to spedd up operation i use:

    CONN.Execute SQL, , 129 (or adCmdText + adExecuteNoRecords)

    Instaed exists a similar metod for DAO?

    In my case i use simply:

    DBS.Execute SQL

    Re: adExecuteNoRecords....

    how many records were affected:
    run the procedure twice to see what the responce is when no records are inserted

    Sub AffectedRecords()
    Dim db As DAO.Database
    Set db = CurrentDb
    db.Execute "query3"
    'query3="INSERT INTO table2 SELECT * FROM table1;"
    Debug.Print db.RecordsAffected
    db.Close
    Set db = Nothing
    End Sub

    THIS WAS DONE IN ACCESS 2003
    do not put off till tomorrow what you can put off forever
