I would start by using Google to search on:

    vb 6.0 fingerprint sensor database

You will get a lot of hits. That will give you the basics. Then you will be better prepared to discuss it here. It is a big topic to ask someone to just get you started with a simple explanation.

Neither does a three word reply to someone trying to help.. How doesn't it help? What are you struggling with? Give some detail about what isn't working.

Is there a reason you are using that SDK? The link is nothing more than a C++ project with no documentation, what made you use that SDK? Is there any documentation? Did you try any of the links google provided instead?

    Hi salsa,

there should be Software( or Doku. how to use with VB6) with what you purchased, if there isn't give it back
    and ask for a refund

    regards

Yeah it is always a good idea when hardware shopping to see if they include samples for using whatever language you plan to use. That said VB6 is so old now that a lot of newer hardware would not include that and would instead have samples in VB.Net or C# and/or C++ In many cases VB.Net can be translated to VB without a lot of trouble but other times it will be using libraries that are not meant to work with older versions of VB

The Windows Biometric Framework exists to support application development for devices that have proper drivers.

Microsoft hasn't gone out of its way to create ActiveX wrappers for new APIs for a very long time. The only documentation targeting VB6 that remains is almost entirely legacy material.

So of course the documentation and the API targets C++, it is the same way for nearly everything new since 2008 and many things new since 2004. The only wrappers Microsoft provides anymore tends to be for .Net and nothing else.

Look at the useful threads in the CodeBank for example. Most of those show how to call flat APIs and COM APIs written for C and C++. If what you are looking for was of more general interest perhaps somebody would have written some sample code already.
