How to create a unique identifier in excel between many excel files?
Hey Guys,
I have a questions hope someon helps !...
We want to create a unique identified for many exceles...
Meaning....
I have the following excel files
excelfiles#1.xls
excelfiles#2.xls
excelfiles#3.xls
excelfiles#4.xls
In all these files they have the same column which is action
SN Actions
1 Action#0
2 Action#1
3 Action#2
4
5
So sometimes i want to add an action in excelfile#1 and then i will program it to sync to excelfile#2 through macro !
But somtimes i do the same then from excelfile#3 to excelfile#2
This will cause a duplicate SN
So how can i make any SN automatically generated and not duplicating between sheets ?

I'm not quite following exactly, but will try. If the macro entered an action in column B, it could then add 1 to the SN from the row above, if that's what you're wanting. Is that correct? Or do the matching actions from different sheets need to have the same SN (which would be nearly impossible)?
