    SEEK and sql server

    Exist a different method instead to use Seek in SqlServer.

    note:
    I use Vb6 and ADO connection

    Perhaps you could explain what you're trying to achieve and why you think that you need to use a different method.

    SQL server di not support seek method with ADO....
    And i need to serach in approx 4.000.000 records.

    Everything i found claims the Seek-Method of ADO works only for Jet, since it's an ISAM-Function
    (http://microsoft.public.data.ado.nar...ports-ado-seek)

    Everyone else also states to do a SELECT-Query against your SQL-Server, but to check with Query Analyzer that the Execution plan of SQL-Server uses the Seek-Method internally (not Scan)
