    .Net Native and VB6

Doing some research on .net and I have found a couple of interesting things.

One of the main reasons I have stayed away from .net was because of the JIT. It appears that .Net Native solves this, can anyone confirm this?

Researching this, one can take a glimpse at the sad state of affairs for the dev tools from Microsoft -- everything seems abandoned or under-developed.

UWP? F#? HTML/CSS/JS for Store? What are we supposed to choose from remains unclear. . .

.NET Native only works for UWP and Store apps. It's not available for WinForms or WPF applications. There's been a request on User Voice for this but it's attracted few votes and doesn't look like it's going to happen anyway.

You're probably better off using Free Pascal and Lazarus if native compiling is essential to you. Of course, if someone is really determined to figure out how your program works native compiling won't stop them.
