Issues with starting a VB6 application with Skype for Business running on a Windows 7

We are having issues with running a VB6 application. When trying to run the application it will not respond and 'hang'. Any time that this happens if you completely exit out of Skype for Business then you are able to run the application successfully. Our developers debugged the application and said that it seems to hang when the font "Powervt.fon" is loaded.

We have a 3rd party app that does the VT100 emulation and fonts (dart) as well as a 3rd party app that does the ssh encryption (weonlydo).

It only freezes on new connections. Once you have connected thru the VB application you are able to start up Skype and work with both applications running at the same time.

    Any help would be appreciated!

it doesn't sound like a VB6 issue. have you contacted weonlydo or dart?

and how does it "hang"? Have your developers tried useing a debugger to see when/how it hangs?
and by hang what does that mean, does it just stay stuck in a wait loop? or does it crash out?

edit: how is powervt.fon loaded? what's the line of code look like that it hangs on.
