Create a MP3 encoder to connect to Icecast Streaming server
Hi,
Just wondering if it it possible to create a MP3 encoder to connect to a IceCast server?
I would like to capture the audio from the app and then send it to our ice cast server.
Thanks!

what app? not under your control?
you could capture audio and convert it to mp3 on the fly. lame.dll does it good.
sending blocks to Icecast is a separate topic i'd say. here is a specification
actually three topics: capture audio, convert to mp3 and speak icecast protocol

The Audio is coming from the MP3 player as the control.
All the Audio files are Mp3 and play fine, just would liek to send whats playing to our icecast server.

Re: Create a MP3 encoder to connect to Icecast Streaming server
so why not just send the existing mp3 from your computer to the server and listen through what the server plays? i dont know icecast.
if that is possible (sourcing the mp3 while listening at the same time) this would eliminate the "capture audio" and the "convert to mp3" part of the project which is good as these are bit advanced topics.
