    c book suggestions

previous a massive fan of wrox.com but since it was sold it has gone downhill. My C driver needs constant updating and i no longer work with the guy who wrote it.

Was never a massive fan of o'reilly books. So looking for a beginners book with the same kind of friendly structure wrox.com had.

I would suggest you look at C Primer Plus by Stephen Prata https://www.amazon.co.uk/C-Primer-Pl...sap_bc?ie=UTF8

I think the Style would be rather subjective, and depend on how many books I've read to compare to.
Why not look at a preview of the book and decide for yourself.
    https://books.google.com/books?id=MA...page&q&f=false

The preview above should give you the first 370 pages of the book to evaluate (the book is 1038 pages, so about a 1/3 to evaluate).

As passel says in post #4, style is subjective. I quite like the O'Reilly books but am not a fan of the Deitel books!

If that style doesn't suite, also have a look at

Beginning C 5th Edition by Ivor Horton
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Beginning-E...2%3AB000AQ0770
    https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=...ng%20c&f=false

I like his c++ books, but haven't seen his c book.

    There is also
    C programming - A Modern Approach by K N King
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/C-Programmi...KKN02CVWT3JDWE
    (No ebook available)

However, this 'only' covers c99 and not the newer c11 standard.
