    WebBrowser File Types

    Hi all,

    I have some software that uses a JSON file from a website. By default in Windows this file is prompted for Save or Open. I managed to find a way to make the JSON file open within the WebBrowser part of VB.net. This was in Windows 7 and can't remember how I did it! I am now in Windows 10 and can't find the option to do this. I can't even remember what it is called! I am just getting the prompt now, not the text within the browser.

    I am just installing Windows 7 on a virtual machine to see if I can find what I did. I am hoping someone on here knows what needs to be done. When I find out I will put the details in a notepad document ready for next time.

    Many thanks,
    Paul

    Re: WebBrowser File Types

    Don't remember doing this, but I found a solution....

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/json]
    "CLSID"="{25336920-03F9-11cf-8FD0-00AA00686F13}"
    "Encoding"=dword:08000000

    Paul
