Dictionary - Use of PatternSearch Parameter
Can someone who is familiar with it provide an example please?

Not used it. Also found vb.net version completely different to the java version... doesn't seem to work at all.
That said - two quick search that (may) help..
stackoverflow
and
excel macro mastery
Both seem to use the extra reference object...

do we assume this is a scripting.dictionary or word spelling dictionary? i sort of assumed the latter, but obviously ecniv assumed the former
and what type of pattern matching are you interested in?
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next
dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part
come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed

Thank you both. I was talking about a scripting.dictionary but I've gone in a different direction.
