Notification when a new thread has been started

Is there any way to be notified by e-mail as soon as somebody starts a new thread in a particular forum? I don't see this option when I click on Forum Tools.

You can select "Subscribe to this forum..." then either Daily or Weekly emails, but there isn't an option for immediate notification.

Presumably that would put a large load on the server, and/or increase the chances of emails from this site being counted as spam (which would reduce the chances of other emails being received).

I belong to another site that offers immediate notification. It is very useful and I don't think it's a problem.

As mentioned, at this time, you can get daily notifications at the forum level. You can get immediate notifications at the thread level.
