How to search this forum with periods

This is a question about this forum's search. I want to search for "System.JSON" but the forum is interpreting the period as a space and making it the same as searching for "system JSON". I tried putting it in quotes but it's the same problem. I get threads that have the words "system" and "JSON" in them but not "System.JSON". This has happened to me a few times when searching for a namespace.

I would use google to search the site, e.g. using the following search string for instance
system.JSON site:www.vbforums.com

Thanks! That's what I resorted to. But I was hoping to find a built-in solution.

I would say that the search is what it is. With Google and Bing often being faster for the exact same search, and more capable (as you have seen), I don't expect that a whole lot of effort is going into improving the search capabilities of the forum software.

@shaggy - do you remember back a decade or so ago when the latest back end went into this forum and the search was so SLOW for weeks...
