    Slow Forum Response

I have been having issues with the response time of VBForums. The page will take a long time to load, ping test routinely fails, and not all DOM elements load. These issues happen on all of the browsers:
    • Google Chrome version 58.0.3029.110
    • Internet Explorer version 11.1198.14393.0
    • Microsoft Edge version 38.14393.1066.0
    • Safari on iPhone 5s with the latest iOS update

These issues also happen regardless of if I am on WiFi, Ethernet, or using data(AT&T) and regardless of if I'm at home(DLS) or at work(cable).

Is anyone else experiencing these issues.

No issue here. Here are a couple of things to try....

    1. Are you using ad blockers? If so, try turning them off and see if the load issue still happens.
    2. Are you on a VPN? Try jumping off the VPN and see if the time delay is the same. Could be something is being blocked on your VPN that we are loading
    3. Are you able to get to the following two sites? Do they load equally slow (these should load the same as VBForums since they are on the same server farm and also big)?
      • WebDeveloper.com
      • Forums.Codeguru.com

    4. Have you hit your data limit on your service provider (are they throttling you)
    5. Do you have other add-ins / extensions running?

I'm guessing that it is not number 2 or 5 based on the browsers you tried. Additionally, you didn't mention issues with other sites, so I'm guessing it isn't 4.

I'm on a whopping 8meg download connection and it's been fine.

Right now it seems to be working OK, I find that the slow response is not a constant thing, but that earlier in the morning and towards 5PM it is slower.

    Re: Slow Forum Response

I visit here at approx 3:30am every day....but from home with killer download speed... I too have seen "site performance issue" and report the heck out them.... Course, by the time Brad and others are out of bed - all is well.

We can keep feeding this thread and maybe find a common denominator.

    Re: Slow Forum Response

I've seen no issue today, but my connection is awesome. From home, I see a slowdown every morning....but I know roughly what it is, as something is clogging the heck out of my connection, and I suspect it's Windows Update.
