    MZ Tools 3.0 Add-In for VB6

This Add-In for VB6 was developed by MZTools Software. (last freeware version)

MZ Tools 3.0 is a very comprehensive 'all-in-one' tool collection for VB6, which integrates with the development environment (IDE) as an Add-In.
    - Check the code for unused variables and functions
    - TabIndex Assistant that allows to easily assign the correct TabIndex property to each control
    - Copy and paste controls with the associated code
    - Automatic creation of an error handling routine
    - Select / Case Wizard
    - MsgBox Generator
    - Show or hide the entire menu line at runtime
    - ADO ConnectionString Generator
    - Your own clipboard
    - Code output as XML file
    - And much more ...

I have found it invaluable and wanted to make sure it does not get lost to the ages. This seems like a good place to mirror it.

    I agree!
I regret the decision of the author to pull this version from his website, though from a commercial viewpoint (MZTools 8 is paid only) I can understand it.

But I never tried MZTools 8, so I can't say whether it's worth the upgrade.

Unfortunately, posting that link here puts us in a pretty bad spot, so I removed it.

For one thing, there is no source code included. The utilities section, unlike the rest of VBF, does allow the posting of compiled code, but source needs to be included, which was not the case here. Furthermore, the author pulled the free version. It seems reasonably likely that they did this because they subsequently created the paid version, but their reasoning isn't really ours to debate. This site will honor their decision, and not serve as a means to bypass their wishes.
    My usual boring signature: Nothing
