Prepositions are short words (on, in, to) that usually stand in front of nouns. So if you are in need of a preposition, try "a".
Proposition is what you really meant. And what you're asking for is pretty big...

Final year of what?
Any categories? For example, there are a few odd variants on tic-tac-toe that wouldn't be terribly difficult, but might also be too simple. Sudoku is another one in the game category. As a non-game type of program, something involving a genetic algorithm could be pretty interesting.
My usual boring signature: Nothing

The example I like to talk about for "use a database" kinds of projects is a contact list/address book, because there's a million of them you can look at for inspiration.
Other good ideas include: a home inventory program, a calendar, and a Pokedex.
They sound really boring. You want really boring for assignments. Really boring means "someone else has probably solved all the problems and can explain them to me."
