It'll only get worse now that Microsoft has started pushing the idea of desktop Windows in-app advertising because they feel so left out since the implosion of their own mobile efforts.
Expect "free" programs that you think are installed and safe now to begin popping up similar notices during use that proceeding will install a browser add-on, change your home page, etc. unless you opt out by unckecking the tiny box.
