Indeed. Pratchett has been one of my favourite authors for over twenty years.

    RIP Terry.

Entertaining, clever, inventive and hilarious until the end. I'm going to miss that huge stable of characters and belly-laughs.

I too was a huge fan of his work.

Terry had the knack to evoke images on the back of my eyeballs.
    Many of them hilarious.

    He will be sorely missed.

His last book 'Raising Steam' lacked the polish of his earlier works, no doubt due to his failing health.
I'd still recommend the read as it is part of his legacy.

Terry frequently wrote about death personified.
I envision that Terry met him with a wry grin.

I am a proud owner of every single Discworld book. They take up several feet of earthly shelf space. However the L-Space for these volumes runs to several quadrillion cubic parsecs (varies from moment to moment).

I would not be at all surprised if Azrael himself escorted him to Death's domain.

(get a copy of Reaper Man and flip quickly through the pages and you'll see Azrael speaking )
I don't live here any more.

I certainly owned them all at one time or another but they do have a habit of migrating.

I am sure I owned them all at one time or another.

Last few years I've taken to downloading all my books to my Kindle so the good news is I can still read those for free.

I would love to see some of his stories made into movies... Assuming they made them well.

Ah! Just ran across this article.

They already did (one, at least). Can't remember what it was called, though, but had Rincewind (played by David Jason, I think) and the luggage.

    They've done several

A new Pratchett movie has pretty much become a Christmas tradition on the BBC.

Re: Don't think of it as death

I've seen a couple and I didn't care to much for them.
Possibly because I have very clear images of what the characters should look like.

I guess I am thinking of a big budget movie.
I'd like to see something as well made as Lord of the Rings or Avatar.
