[RESOLVED] I am having issues upload attachments
Hello,
I am trying to upload and attachment to a message but, I seem to be having issues.
Not too sure if it's my number of posts I have submitted or what is the issue.
I type my message, go to attachment and click add file, browse and the upload, but all I get is the icon at the top right hand corner of the screen spinning, that's it.
Can anyone offers suggestion?
I am a member of another forum for Excel and they use the same type of file attachment, I have no issues there.

Re: I am having issues upload attachments
This is not a General PC issue. It's a forum issue and thus belongs in Forum Feedback. I have asked the mods to move this thread.

Re: I am having issues upload attachments
The file you are trying to upload, if I understand it right from your thread in the .NET forum, is a power point slide deck. How big is it?
My usual boring signature: Nothing

Re: I am having issues upload attachments
what is the file extension on the file being uploaded and how big is the file. That will tell us if it is being blocked by the forum. There are size limits to file uploads.
Brad!

Re: I am having issues upload attachments
Hi Brad,
It's a zip file of about 62kb in size.
Since I am a new member, maybe I cannot upload until I have more posts??

Re: I am having issues upload attachments
That file size / type definitely should not be an issue, which means it is likely that it is because you are a new member. If the file is for a normal forum (not chit chat), then it might be that a mod will upload it into a thread for you....

Thanks Brad,
What is the threshold for new members, how many posts before I can add an attachment?
Just curious!

Re: I am having issues upload attachments
For grins - in the upper right hand of your screen click on SETTINGS - then go to General Settings... Scroll down to:
Enhanced Attachment Uploading:
Enhanced Attachment Uploading on
Enhanced Attachment Uploading off
And set the option to OFF.
Wi-fi went down for five minutes, so I had to talk to my family....They seem like nice people.

No problem Neighbor
(i think you might get different results with different browsers....but the plain jane file attachment option works just fine)
Now please click the THREAD Tools link above and then the "Mark Thread Resolved" option.

Thanks Neighbor, I appreciate the help!!
I use the old fashion IE, I should have Firefox as a backup loaded, but have not done that as yet!!
