VB6 is not free. If you want a copy you will need to locate and buy it or you could subscribe to MSDN and download it from MS

Adding to this the original poster could probably find Visual Studios 6.0 on EBay, Amazon or any other online store I have not mentioned.

If you want vb for free get the .net version 2013 express edition. Unless you need vb6 for old projects then buy it on ebay.

Yes I agree but if he doesn't have vb6 why would he need it now? It sounds like he's just learning, he should go with what's free instead of downloading illegal programs. It sounds like he wants it for free which is not.

Well, his other thread mentions using VB6.0 in a business environment so maybe the computers they are using can not handle.NET.

Actually he asks if a project would be possible in VB6 in one post and in his only other post which is here in this thread he is asking for someone to give him VB6.
I would say that it is safe to assume little or no experience in VB6.
If you have a buisness that has computers that can not handle .Net then the first step would be to get some new systems, even my 10 year old PC runs .Net programs without issue though quite a lot slower than my newer PCs

There are no new versions. VB 6.0 was the last of the product line.
I agree somebody starting from scratch shouldn't invest time and money into VB6 at this late date, but it doesn't help to mislead him. "Visual Basic" .Net is not a new Visual Basic version but another product line altogether that reused the name.
There are lots of alternatives to that as well, many of them free.

I have mixed thoughts about OP's 1st post
I could take to mean he already has VB6 but needs help in setting it up or he already has it but for some reason does not have the setup exe or he doesn't have it at all and wanted someone to give him VB6
Anything I post is an example only and is not intended to be the only solution, the total solution nor the final solution to your request nor do I claim that it is. If you find it useful then it is entirely up to you to make whatever changes necessary you feel are adequate for your purposes.
