Office Home use for commercial purposes
I wrote a VB program several years ago for commercial purposes. The program makes use of a lot of MS Word files to set maths exam papers. My son has recently bought me a Office Home & Student 2013 version which may of course not be used for commercial purposes. Does it mean that I am not allowed to create new Word files for my program using this version of Office?

This answers your question really well:

If you are personally using your own software for commercial use, then you are not allowed to use that version of Office
