Is there a control to replace Acro PDF viewer?
As now AcroPDF.DLL no longer works with VB6, is there a way to use something else that would serve that function? All I need is a PDF viewer, opener, browser, what do I know.
Some advice please.

Should we assume you want something free?

Olaf Schmidt sent me a working viewer for odf files (OpenOffice/LibreOffice) that uses ViewerJS inside a WebBrowser control. I believe it works with pdf too.

It seems like a really ridiculous question.
Register to download something that you give away for nothing? what for do you want my email?
However, the solution you posted require to add references to non-standard components: vbRichClient5.dll and ieframe.dll that need to be installed and registered.
This solution isn't version indipendent.
So for you adobe reader is a standard component? I don't have it.
The solution IS ViewerJS. vbRichClient is only used to provide a simple local webserver, and IE is used as WebBrowser, but one can use any other.
Frankly, I prefer my own.
But is it right that everyone has their own tastes.
Fortunately, but thanks anyway

My site has hundreds of registered users with gmail.
So the problem is not caused by this.
However, this topic is OT on this forum, if you have problems contact me in private.
