Play an audio file over a voice modem
Hi,
I've got an app that is an alarm handler, so when an alarm goes off, it indicates on the screen etc.
I'd like to dial up to a telephone line and announce the alarm to the person receiving the call.
I've got a SpeechSynthesizer saying the alarm through the speakers. I've read some places going to a voice modem via the soundcard - is there a better method?
Thanks in advance,
Aaron.

I wanted to do TAPI work last year but this is quoted on the net
Telephony Application Programming Interface (TAPI) functionality is not supported from managed code
Because of the complexity of the TAPI 3.x Component Object Model (COM) interface, the managed wrapper that is created by Microsoft Visual Studio .NET does not work. Therefore, you cannot call TAPI functionality from managed code.
Microsoft has no current plans to release a TAPI interoperative component.
Check this on social.MSDN
Check this out Here is a thin wrapper on codeplex
Good luck !
