Looks like the guy decided he couldn't back up his position, so the thread's closed.

Man, that guy is a real freak. Was it just me or did he seem to assume that he had personally been visited by God, and he told him all this stuff. I mean He laid down no proof other than 'God is inerrent' 'The Bible Says' that is no cause for an argument.

    Smile Naivity

He was just a little naive that's all.

Still, you've got to admire his audacity to challenge everybody to prove the Bible wrong.

His logic was incredibly flawed though.

nope, his logic is just incompatible with ours
but, that's where the nailguns becomes handy

indeed his logic was both flawed and incompatible
and the nailguns r VERY handy!!

I think a nail bomb would be better. I find repeating nail guns vibrate too much. this way we can do the whole lot in one fell swoop

    Lightbulb Already Gone?

Are you sure that he hasn't already been taken out? It is a bit mysterious that he suddenly closed the thread?

If he is found leaning over his computer with nails sticking out of his back, you lot are going to be top suspects!

Not me. If His is slumped over his computer with a massive hole in his head, then you probably still couldn't call me a suspect Swords wounds, However, then you could call me a suspect...

And the .44 is a cool gun, but I think the Desert Eagle looks a little more stylish as well.

I rather miss the little nutter. I have nothing against any religon, and I respect people who have any sort of beliefs, but starting a thread like that is the equivelent of standing up in front of a bunch of people and saying, "punch me as hard as you want, I dare you."

Tygur (and I mean this as a compliment), youre thread would be nowhere near as much fun as at least you can hold a well versed discussion, you respect the other persons view-point and argue your case coherently, this guy was just setting himself up to be taken down. i.e. The bible is never wrong, everything I don't agree with is the work of Satan etc.

He may as well have painted a huge bullseye on himself. Interesting that he never made any last comments when he closed the thread. Maybe he is having a crisis of faith, or more likely burning his computer as it is infested by all these evil Satanists how believe in tolleration, open-mindedness and other such evils

Damnit, to bad I missed that thread, I had some good points to add. I think religion has done nothing but massive amounts of damage to the whole human race. Done by a bunch of greedy, power hungry people to a bunch of feeble-minded drones that want so badly to believe in something in life, they except any lies told to them. Oh and I can prove it.

You can generalize it by saying information in general has been misused (ex. Nuclear energy)

There were discussions along that line towards the end of the 'Can you trust the Bible?' thread.

What you're really criticising here is the institution of religion rather than religous belief itself.

He would just say that people have used religion for their own ends. It is not religion itself that is bad.

    He can read?

Typical fundamental christian clap trap. They brain wash them into believing this sort of stuff at the Church of the Holy Ignorant Burger Brains. P.S give us 10% of your money for belonging. Sorry last time l looked God didn't need money.

Hey for a great fun afternoon invite the Seventh Day Adventists in next time they come around. These people are so stupidly naive it doesn't bare thinking about. We got these two in and they were on about their church and how every generation a prophet would come along. So naturally l had to ask how they recognised a prophet and would Uncle Joe Stalin be considered one in their eyes. (I was rolling up my sleeves at this stage ready for a decent debate). When one guy asked me who Stalin was I mean are these people born igorant, trained to be stupid, or are they the left overs of the genetic pool.
