[RESOLVED] Access Listbox - event firing
Hi
Easy one. I have alistbox control with an onclick event. the list box is multi select.
When you scroll with the keyboard (up and down) it seems to trigger the click event before it has reselected the next line... so what is returned is the line it is leaving...
Just wondered if that was meant to be...
I'm guessing - yes...

Um...I'm not an expert, but I believe this happens due to the TextChanged handler. I don't exactly understand the question, but to my knowledge you're not using the right handler.

Re: Access Listbox - event firing
hmm ok.
Which handler am I meant to be using..?
Cause if you click a listbox and press up or down on the keybboard it selects the next item.
My problem is that it also fires the on click which i need if the user clicks the row. It just fires the on click before its updated the item selection...
I am thinking it's because the listbox is multi select rather than just a single line.... but... Just was wondering whether it was meant to be like that...

Maybe try the "after update" event?

Re: [RESOLVED] Access Listbox - event firing
Hi
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think that would work with the up/down arrows in the listbox.
I ended up just trapping the key press (key up event) for up or down buttons and messaging the user to tell not to do that.
It''ll do.
Thanks again though
