[RESOLVED] XML, dropdown boxes, and webpages ... oh my
I would like to develop a webpage with 2 dropdown boxes that can eventually produce another webpage containing a table of results based on the selected dropdown values. The values for the dropboxes will come from an XML file ("Events" and "Age"). The results will come from the same file.
This request seems standard and I'm sure I read how to do it somewhere, I just can't remember. I was hoping to find a simple .Net or VBA implementation in the CodeBank that I can easily tailor to my need. So far, no luck.
My search strings include: xml, binding, .Net, VBA, dropdown box , Query
Any help tracking down a good example would be greatly appreciated.

Think you want ASP, Guv! They got their own forum.

Dunfiddlin,
Thank you for responding to my post. I was hoping to find ways to do it using VB.Net or VBA. Some examples using Windows Forms would be a decent start.
Also, I looked at the ASP group... not much activity there. Any idea why? Is ASP.Net commonly used?

Re: XML, dropdown boxes, and webpages ... oh my
Here is a snippet of the .xml file I put together from tables of results. My hope is to have two drop down boxes: 1 for AgeGroup and another for Event. Then I'd like to display a table that contains Athlete, Mark, and MeetName.
I also attached the file.
Thank you for your help!
Code:
<Results><AgeGroup AG="8 and Under"><Event myname="100 m"><Format>mm:ss.00</Format><Athlete><Name>Rachael</Name><Team></Team><Meet><MeetName>TommySmithYouthInvitational-5/4/2013
