[RESOLVED] hey all is glbasic worth buying , other than game programing across all platforms
im just wondering why microsoft didnt make vb6 that way, or is there something im missing about it.
it seems to me that glbasic would have the same limits as vb6.

It looks like yet another knockoff of QBasic, working at a very primitive level. Lots of extensions useful for gaming but not for anything my customers need.
But I can't find anyone I know who has ever even tried it, so it might be fine if that's your bag.
VB6 was never meant for that sort of thing anyway. It was a Rapid Application Development language primarily aimed at writing database client applications for Windows in the commercial world. You can squint and push and twist it for simple games but that was never VB's target problem space.
VB's main competitors were Delphi and PowerBuilder.
