2010 Express vs 2012 Express
Im new to vb and have been using 2010 Express for about a week now.
Curious - are there any differences between 2010 and 2012 that I should be concerned with?
I would have to assume the 2012 version is the better choice here, right? Simply because its newer

Re: 2010 Express vs 2012 Express
Newer is not always better though in this case I would probably go with 2012 if for no reason other than Metro apps.
Personally I normally don't use anything newer than 2008 because they removed support for Windows Mobile and Windows CE which I do a lot of development for so they made the decision for me to stick with 2005 or 2008
The only thing I have used 2010 for so far was dabbling around with the XNA game lib for XBox development but then that was in C# and a little for Windows phone but also in C#

Re: 2010 Express vs 2012 Express
Nice thing I just noticed about VS 2012 is that it doesn't 'upgrade' your project files - even after loading a 2010 project in VS 2012, you can still load it in VS 2010 if you decide you like that better.
