Resolved [RESOLVED] Choosing/changing the cd serial n°

    HI
I want to make my apps anchored to the CD serial for copyprotection but the serial changes randomly at each burn so I don't know how to do it.
Any ideas ? Are there any legit software that allows to choose the serial , maybe some professional version of buerners ?

    thanks

(PS I already know that it would be a basic protection and that anything can be hacked but for me it would still be more that enough)

if you use a disk duplication (by ISO image) this copies the boot sector which contains the serial number. You can create every disk with the same serial this way. I would suggest you create an iso image and edit it in an archive program to add your program to it after you have rigged your program to look for that serial number.

HOWEVER as i stated, the serial number is duplicated in a disk copy function, so this is pretty much worthless as a copy protection scheme.
