Transparent Picture Box Background?
I am wondering if there is a way to make a picture box background transparent so that only the borders of a transparent .gif image would show?
Any help would be appreciated greatly! Thanks in advance!

Re: Transparent Picture Box Background?
I have a new question to ask regarding picture boxes with transparent backgrounds: If I were to make such picture box transparent, but with text labels in them, and only the text labels inside the transparent background picture box would show on the form, how would I be able to accomplish this?

Instead of using a picturebox use a user control and make the background transparent
Anything I post is an example only and is not intended to be the only solution, the total solution nor the final solution to your request nor do I claim that it is. If you find it useful then it is entirely up to you to make whatever changes necessary you feel are adequate for your purposes.

The problem is, it would have to be placed over a series of smaller picture boxes (79 × 79 pixels) in my project, which I tried and to no avail.
However, I have an idea. I could put a 79 × 79 pixel PictureBox inside a user control, and replace the existing picture boxes of the same size on the forms with the UserControl cersions in a control array, and then place the user control with the text labels over the smaller user controls.
To revise the code, all I would have to do is use the find and replace to look for all occurrences of R1.picSq(i).Picture, and replace them with R1.ucSq (i).picSq.Picture. I think I got my problem resolved.
