[windows 7] - i can't open Game Maker games:(

i have windows 7 and directx installed.
but why i can't open games builded with Game Maker(older than 8)?

Graphics: NVidia Geforce 8200M G 256MB's intergrated(it's a laplop).
Memory: 3GB's
CPU: AMD Turion Dual-Core RM-70 2GHz 64bits(but i use system 32)
(that games was builded with windows XP)

1 question my driver was updated by windows 7.. it's good, or i must use from company\facture?

no use the drivers that you VGA card's company offers it's the most optimum.

i just looked at game maker's system requirements. evidently it uses an older version of directx (8.1) This could be the problem as windows 7 does not include the dx8 runtimes. You will need to get the directx8 web installer and run that if you haven't already. In addition to that, there was a note saying user account control can stop the developer environment from running and has to be disabled. I hope one of these two notes helps.

by version reasons: can i install DX8, if i'm using a new version?

i try it but i can't install it.
but it's strange that i can create games on Game Maker 8.0 and execute them normaly.
so why the lower games are in memory(on processes) and i can't see them?

i dont know but from what i read 8 creates .exes and the older ones you have to have an older game maker installed

even game maker 6 do the same problem. maybe it's windows 7 compatibles things

i have try it without sucess
i only know choose the OS
i don't understand the other options
i have tested 1 game on windows 8 and the same problem happens
