    Resolved [RESOLVED] A Sugestion

HI. I have a suggestion in mind for this this website/Forum.

A list of medals should be made, along with medal image, and is given to senior members, on the basis of their performance. lets suppose starting from Administrator, moderators, developers etc a separate medal for such staff.
Similarly, senior members who have been since long a medal image always be shown in the avatar and in their response to threads.
Dear administrator did you pick my idea sir?

We've already got a reputation system which fulfils that purpose. If you like someone's post you simply click the little star at the bottom left and you get to add to their reputation. As their reputation increases it's displayed as little green bars under their user name. From a functional perspective I think it works very well.

Maybe it could be displayed in a nicer way though. I quite like the idea of increasingly impressive medals. It would be more obvious than our current green bars. Although some users (TG included) would end up with so much bling they'd make Mr T look underdressed.

I've a plan I've been proposing internally that would include badges - which are similar to the medals you mention. These would apply across our network of sites and would be something you could apply and use elsewhere. I can't say any more about it at this time, other than to say that if we do it, then it would likely roll out this year.

Specific to this forum - we currently recognize many of the things you mention via the special titles and such.

    Hi to all.
    @ tg and @ FunkyDexter

Because it will make the look of this forum and the concerned member so nice. Every badge/ medal will have its specification that what is this for. I am not saying that the current green bars status level system is good one, its also a commendable but giving much respect to the higher member, including you techgnome, is my concern and idea, except other ideas.

    @ Brad Jones

Yeah brad, a badge or a medal, in multi colors like i've attached as an example.

John would probably have all the medals by default! Although, I suppose it depends on what they are awarded for?

    Re: A Sugestion

We'd need a grumpy medal. We could give it to all members who've been here more than a year.
