After clicking "post quick reply" I'm getting that very annoying prompt although reply gets posted.
I said it before and I will say it again - this new release has broken everything that worked just fine for ages.

Yeah, I don't think anyone pays much attention to the saying "If ain't not broken don't fix it!" anymore, maybe they should.

Technology is a dangerous thing in the hands of an idiot! I am that idiot.
sometimes evolution takes a wrong turn, but give it time and it will get corrected....![]()
I'm trying to document a consistently reproduce the the pop-up error and the duplicate posting. If anyone can document this in a step-by-step manner, it would help me as it will eliminate any doubts from our developers..... (I've already commented, that "yes, I too get the error and it is a problem.... ")
Thanks guys for your help.
Brad!

As a note, I got the pop-up posting to this thread (the first time, but not the second). It is the double post that I can't consistently replicate....

I managed to dbl post a dozen of times [I think] - at least once there was 4 or maybe even 5. I believe I also managed to delete all of those extra instances.
It appeared to me that it was due to "uknown" state of current page when it's really not clear what's going on so all can do is try "posting" again...and again...
The main issue I reported ("leave this page") I noticed may occur when leave current page open for a while and then try to reply or typed the reply text but actually submitted later.
Although, there could be other scenarios.

I seem to get that message at least a few times a day if I make many posts and most of the time after it appears the site does not navigate back to the thread as it should but rather will just sit there for a very long time, sometimes it goes back but most of the time it just hangs.
As for the site being faster, sometimes pages load at an acceptable speed and sometimes they don't load at all. Sometimes you can even get 5 or 6 pages to load just fine and then it will either slow way down or just hang. SOmetimes you can hit stop then refresh and it will load and others it will not.
So far it doesn't seem like much has changed. I have saw these problems everyday since the software change and have been seeing the same thing on Code Guru since the software was changed there which was a while before this site both are irratic and you never know if the page you want to view will actually load.
Another issue has been trying to edit a post, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't and even when it does sometimes the only way to know is to manually navigate back to the thread and look as the page will just hang after clicking save.
