Video problem

The attached captured image shows a message that pops up after the display has turned black for about one or 2 two seconds.



It has been occurring quite a few times recently when watching some youtube video clips. The screen goes black every 5 or 10 sec. for about 1 or 2, then it recovers on its own and the above message is shown at the tray.

I have no idea what's going on and why. Does it mean I do not have the correct drivers installed?

Have you tried upgrading or reinstalling the video driver ? If not, then try it and see whether it helps or not.

Well, the thing is my computer was recently highjacked and I had to reinstall Windows and everything, thank God I had backups... But one thing I forgot to install was precisely the video (and other) drivers Now I have and it all seems to be working fine but, of course, I'll have to let a few days go by and make sure it doesn't happen again.

i have been also getting the same message .i have updated MY Display Adapters Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family .-> Wclick -> update Driver Software . but still i am getting the attached Message .let me know any other options . any help would be highly appreciated .

...I'll have to let a few days go by and make sure it doesn't happen again.

After I installed the correct video driver I haven't run into any more trouble. That's all I can say.

I assume you must check the manufacturer and model of your graphic card and google around for the drivers. If you open the case perhaps this information is stated on the card itself.

It was easier for me because I had the CD that came along with the computer when I purchased it.

you might want to get it directly from the chipset manufacturer (amd, intel, nvidia). Microsoft update installed a perfectly functional video driver on my system but the first time i tried to enable the 2nd monitor out, i received an error telling me that the driver was for an old version of windows. ATI(amd) and NVIDIA generally release a new driver about once a month, and ati releases "profiles" for certain games whenever the game is released. You may be able to get a new driver now whereas you couldn't a month ago.

however since it's only happening on flash video, have you tried this: opt-in to the html 5 youtube experience (google it). It requires firefox or chrome or the chrome extension for IE but it doesn't use flash to play videos.
